Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki has received some recognition for his double play during the 2023-2024 season.

The center received 14 votes for the Frank J. Selke Trophy, which rewards the attacker who makes the greatest defensive contribution. In addition, he received second place.
The trophy went to Finland’s Aleksander Barkov of the Florida Panthers, who won the honor for the second time in his career. The other finalists were Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Jordan Staal of the Carolina Hurricanes.
Suzuki finished last season with 77 points, including 33 goals, both personal highs. He also performed many tasks in defense, including playing against the opposing team’s best players and providing playing time in the penalty shootout.
