A woman who claimed to have been a passenger on the Aug. 26 flight wrote in a social media post that the flight crew “put coffee grounds in the seat pocket and sprayed perfume to cover the smell” before boarding.

“When the visibly upset passengers tried to explain to the flight attendant that the seat and seat belt were wet and that there was visible remnants of vomit in their area, the flight attendant appeared. I am very sorry but she stated that the flight was full and there was nothing she could make it,” Susan Benson wrote on Tuesday, August 29.
The flight from Las Vegas to Montreal takes over four hours. According to Ms Benson, the passengers were given blankets, towels and more poop bags. After they were settled, the pilot approached them and told them to leave. Then “the pilot got up and walked to the front of the plane,” Benson said. “The next thing we know, security came down the aisle and escorted the two ladies off the plane!”
CTV News has contacted Air Canada to confirm Ms Benson’s story.
In response, the airline said it was “internally reviewing this serious matter and has contacted customers directly.”
“Our operational procedures were not properly followed,” Air Canada wrote, adding that it apologizes to the customers affected.
“They obviously weren’t receiving the level of care they were entitled to,” the airline added. “We will keep in touch with them on this.”
