Saskatoon is back in the Western Baseball League with a new team

About 10 years ago the Saskatoon baseball team formed Yellow jacketsleft the Western Canada Baseball League.

At this time, the new baseball team has yet to decide its official name. In addition, the team will call on the population to vote for it. Therefore, according to management, finding a new name and a new manager is one of management’s priorities to quickly create the identity of the team.

This year the Saskatoon Entertainment Group will be in charge of the Saskatoon baseball team. The new team will arrive with a wealth of experience in the sports field, according to Saskatoon Baseball Club president Steve Hildebrand.

We lead the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Junior League and the Saskatchewan Rush of the National Lacrosse League. So we have a very good team and structure to get this project up and running.says Steve Hildebrand.

From a business standpoint, I think no pun intended, this will be a home run for us.he adds.

The new baseball team will practice and play their games Cairns fieldfrom Gordie Howe Sports Complex, which is currently being renovated. The stadium will be renovated by spring 2024 and should have around 2,200 seats.
