Samsung launches its 2023 smart monitor range, even more stylish and fun – Samsung Newsroom UK

Slim design, fresh, trendy colors: The Smart Monitors 2023 from Samsung conquer interiors and offer redefined work and entertainment experiences.

Samsung Electronics Co.,Ltd. announces the global launch of its Smart Monitor series[1] Available in 9 versatile models for 2023. Available in different colors, sizes and resolutions, the new Smart Monitors M8, M7 and M5 (M80C, M70C, M50C) adapt to users’ desires and offer a new work and entertainment experience, all with style and elegance.

An ultra-thin and elegant design for all styles and all spaces[2]

The M8, M7 and M5 smart monitors are available in a variety of colors and sizes to perfectly complement the decor. The M8 and M7 models are available in 32 inches, while the M5 model is available in 32 and 27 inches. And for those who want to add color to their interiors, the M8, equipped with UHD resolution and 400nit brightness, is available in white, blue, pink and green colors to meet all expectations. Finally, the M7 is available with UHD resolution and 300nit brightness in warm white, while the M5 is available with Full HD resolution in black or white.

With their new ultra-thin design, the M8 and M7 blend naturally into the decor (the monitors measure 11.39mm at the thinnest part of the screen). On the back, an elegant herringbone pattern adorns the back of the M8 and M7 models, creating a very natural, textured visual effect. With the height and tilt adjustable stand, M8 users can adjust the angle while creating a tidy and minimalist environment. The screen can also be rotated 90 degrees to reduce visual fatigue.

A redefined entertainment experience

The Smart Monitor M8 2023 shows 4K resolution, HDR 10+[3] and 400nit brightness for brilliant, vivid images. The model also offers a new way of entertainment thanks to the Gaming Hub streaming game platform.[4] and Samsung’s built-in Smart Hub, which includes a variety of services like Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube. The M8 and M7 also support color coverage of up to 99% of the RGB color space[5] to bring all content to life in ever brighter colors.

Monitors optimized for maximum productivity

The 2023 Series has been enhanced to make remote work easier. The PC-less workspace allows remote access via one or more computers in mirrored mode from anywhere in the world. The Smart Monitor M8 is equipped with a SlimFit camera[6] magnetic, detachable and wireless. It has FHD resolution and video conferencing capabilities. Users can now connect to Google Meet and other apps while still taking advantage of auto-framing capabilities for more efficient meetings[7]. Also, the Multi View feature has been improved and now allows using Microsoft 365 and the browser app in full screen mode to reduce switching between apps[8]. Everything has been thought of to optimize the new ways of working.

The Smart Monitors 2023 interface is reinforced with mouse/keyboard control capabilities and applications such as SmartThings and Smart Hub. Monitor owners can now remain in full control and explore their favorite content without the need for a remote control.

Endless customization

Thanks to the integrated IoT Hub supporting Zigbee and Thread, users can easily control all connected objects from their monitor[9]. Both the M8 and M7 have built-in voice assistants, including Bixby and Amazon Alexa[10], allowing users to control the monitor with their voice. The M8 and M7 models also support far-field voice with a built-in microphone, allowing users to speak directly to the monitor.

The new feature my content, now available for the entire 2023 Smart Monitor range, gives users the ability to quickly access useful information. For example, in standby mode the monitor is able to recognize a smartphone paired via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to display user photos, weather and other information at a glance before reverting to sleep mode when the smartphone is out of range is .
