Roku is getting into smart TVs

Roku is thus launching 11 smart TV models, offered in two ranges, Roku Select (HD), the entry-level category, and Roku Plus (4K), the high-end category.

The brand’s screen sizes vary from 24 inches (61 cm) to 75 inches (191 cm), and prices range from US$119 (C$160) to US$999 (C$1,345).

Roku TVs will include a voice remote. The higher-end models are entitled to the Pro version, which allows hands-free voice commands and whose battery is rechargeable.

Roku-branded televisions will enable more innovations in the viewing experience, and all of these innovations will be available throughout the Roku TV lineup.the company said in a press release.

However, Roku did not reveal any technical details of its new TV screens, which will be made to order.

It is in the spring that the first deliveries of these televisions are the brand the next natural step in the development of the company, Roku’s Chris Larson said during a press conference. However, it is unknown if they will be shipped to Canada at this time.

Roku claims that one in three TVs currently sold in the US with its partners (RCA, Sharp, Hisense, etc.) comes with its Roku OS system.
