Rocket: A win for Logan Mailloux to start the season

Logan Mailloux obviously doesn’t want to stay with the Laval Rocket for long.

On Friday night in Providence, the defenseman scored two goals and had two assists in the Montreal Canadiens’ farm club’s 5-2 win over the Bruins.

Sainte-Flanelle’s hope hit the mark in the second period after a nice pass from Lucas Condotta. This network turned out to be the winning network.

In the final third he once again managed to put the game out of reach for his rivals.

The new Rocket captain picked up his second assist on Mailloux’s first goal and was also involved in the goal scored by Adam Engstrom in the first period.

Filip Mesar and William Trudeau were the other scorers for Laval. The first took advantage of a numerical advantage in the second to move the strings, while the second hit the target in the final third.

Before the Rocket network, Jakub Dobes was hardly busy. He received a total of 14 shots, including just eight in the first 40 minutes. The Czech was thwarted by shots from Vinni Lettieri and Patrick Brown. At the other end of the ice, goaltender Brandon Bussi was tested 39 times.

The CH Farm Club will return to action this Saturday as they visit Springfield against the Thunderbirds.
