Recall of melons due to risk of salmonella

Health Canada has announced the recall of Malichita brand melons due to the risk of contamination from the bacteria Salmonella.

The affected products were sold between October 22nd and November 1st inclusive. Sales were primarily in Quebec, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

If you still have a recalled melon at home, you should throw it away or return it to where it was purchased. Citizens who become ill after consuming the product should instead contact their doctor.
