Montreal Canadiens youngster Joshua Roy was the only penalty scorer for Sherbrooke Phoenix in Sunday’s 3-2 win over the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada at the Sports Rousseau Center of Excellence.
His teammate Cole Huckins had previously leveled the game in the third period to force an overtime. Tristan Giroux was the other goalscorer for the Estrie team.

Alexis Brisson and Josh Lawrence both eluded Charles-Edward Gravel, who was still named the game’s first star with 41 saves. At the other end of the rink, rookie Samuel St-Hilaire signed the win after being tested 30 times.
It was Sherbrooke’s fourth straight win.
Offensive festival in Abitibi
In Val-d’Or, Daniil Bourash scored four goals while Tristan Allard had no fewer than six assists and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies won the Abitibi clash against the Foreurs 8-2.
Samuel Rousseau, Louis-Philippe Fontaine, Thomas Verdon and Bill Zonnon also flashed in victory over the red light.
William Blackburn gave up seven times from 32 shots in front of the home favorite’s net before being replaced by Mathys Fernandez. Thomas Couture, meanwhile, made 20 saves and was beaten only by Justin Robidas and Alexandre Doucet.

At Baie-Comeau, the Victoriaville Tigres keeper almost performed a miracle, blocking 38 of their opponents’ 39 shots, but the Drakkar eventually prevailed 2-1 on penalties. Victorious goalkeeper Olivier Adam made 23 saves.
