On the one hand, the safety, effectiveness and quality of these tablets have not been evaluated, but on the other hand, these products contain dangerous ingredients.
Many of them may contain ingredients not listed on the label, such as prescription medications, possibly in doses that exceed recommended maximum amounts.
Analysis of products with similar packaging seized from other companies revealed the presence of several substances such as sildenafil, tadalafil and paracetamol.
“If a consumer takes a product without knowing its exact composition, the risk of dangerous allergies and interactions with food and other medications may increase,” says Health Canada.
In some cases, the label may indicate the presence of a hazardous ingredient or combination of ingredients that is not approved by the federal agency.
Anyone who has used any of these products and has concerns is asked to consult a doctor.
