One in ten Gaspesians does not attend a doctor’s appointment

This is the highest proportion in the region.

Conversely, only 7% of patients in the Côte-de-Gaspé have failed to show up for their doctor’s appointment in the last few months. In Haute-Gaspésie and in the MRC in Rocher-Percé, 8% and 11% of people respectively did not inform the staff of their absence.

Between last April 1st and last November 24th, the ZISS de la Gaspésie confirms that the various health professionals have made 76,612 medical appointments. Of these, 8476 meetings were missed. That is almost every eleventh person.
