On TVA Sports: Blue Jays – Orioles

On a rare occasion in 2024, the Toronto Blue Jays found a way to defeat the Baltimore Orioles Tuesday night at Camden Yards.

Manager John Schneider’s men needed a 10th inning to win 6-3. It was only the third time in 11 games this season that the Jays defeated the American League East Division leaders.

They’re trying to repeat the feat in the second game of that three-way series tonight. This confrontation is underway at TVA Sports.

On Tuesday, Brandon Belt’s home run in the extra inning gave the visitors the win. The designated hitter blocked a Mike Baumann shot 417 feet from the plate while Bo Bichette was already on his way (seen in the video above).

The Orioles shooter then allowed the Blue Jays a slightly more comfortable cushion. He missed one of his shots and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. took the opportunity to cross the plate and put his team 6-3.

That win against one of Major League Baseball’s top teams kept the Blue Jays in the middle of the playoff race. Canada’s only major league team is currently half a game behind the Seattle Mariners, who are bottom of the ranks to enter the US playoffs.
