Nick Suzuki is one of the 20 best center players in the NHL

The progress made by Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki over the past few seasons is increasingly being recognized in the National Hockey League (NHL).

The NHL Network ranked the Habs 14th to 16the Ranked #1 on his list of the best centers in the Bettman Circuit. This is his first foray into the top 20.

Suzuki finished ahead of Tim Stutzle of the Ottawa Senators, Robert Thomas of the St. Louis Blues, Mika Zibanejad of the New York Rangers and Nico Hischier of the New Jersey Devils.

The 25-year-old forward posted a career-best 33-goal, 77-point season in 2023-2024, establishing himself as one of the best players at his position in both directions.

Suzuki is also known for his great endurance and currently ranks third in the NHL among active players with 373 consecutive games without a missed game.

Not surprisingly, Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers tops the list, ahead of Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche and Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Leon Draisaitl of the Oilers and Aleksander Barkov of the Florida Panthers round out the top five.
