Michael Andlauer admits that Arber Xhekaj is “annoying” him at the moment.

Before the game between the Canadiens and the Senators, TVA Sports aired an excellent interview between Renaud Lavoie and former CH minority owner and current Senators owner, Michael Andlauer.

The interview took place in Gatineau, a few hundred meters from the room dedicated to the team’s nearest amphitheater. Plus, the views are breathtaking and as a little guy from Gatineau myself, I can tell you that the photos and videos don’t do it justice.

Andlauer is very happy about the completion of this project, but emphasizes that it is not intended for the immediate future, but rather for the next generation. He’s hoping for his first face-off at home in five years.

Hopefully that duel will be against the Canadian, a rivalry that Andlauer says continues to grow. Speaking about this rivalry, he admits that one of the main players is Arber Xhekaj, a guy who was once revered but is now hated by the owner.

Laughing and joking, he told the TVA Sports journalist that the defender “upset” him and that he is a better player than what he is showing at the moment.

When 72 was signed by Marc Bergevin and the Montreal management, he was on the roster of the Hamilton Bulldogs in the OHL. Andlauer knew him very well, the head of training.

Ironically, a few years later, the Montrealer’s former protégé pursued his former mentor. His check against “his superstar” (Tim Stützle) didn’t go through.

In addition to talking about the amphitheater projects and the Xhekaj situation, Andlauer also admitted to Lavoie that it was difficult to leave the Canadian. After all, he grew up in Montreal and has fond memories of his idols, especially Guy Lafleur.

The opportunity to lead his own team was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so valuable that it would have been unthinkable to pass it up. We can understand it.

In any case, he is very committed and I believe that the future of the Ottawa team is in much better hands. On TVA Sports, Patrick Lalime, who lived in Ottawa for a few years, spoke with Jacques Martin and Chris Phillips and both are very excited about the arrival of the new boss.

At the end of the interview, Renaud Lavoie asked his guest to add fuel to the fire: “Would you be in favor of the Nordiques returning to Quebec?”. Michael’s answer, who sees a parallel between his city and the country’s capital: “Absolutely .” He doesn’t have much choice in saying this, but still.

In short, a breath of fresh air has come to Ottawa and Courtesy of Renaud LavoieLet’s see to what extent Michael Andlauer is the perfect guy to bring the Sens onto the stage (again). Map.
