According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in New Brunswick, the man was the victim of a serious attack last month that caused serious injuries.
In a press release issued on Thursday, police did not specify which medical facility the incident took place at. Questions from Radio Canada / CBC on this subject remained unanswered by the RCMPThursday.
There are two hospitals in Campbellton: Campbellton Regional Hospital and Restigouche Hospital Center (B.C), the latter specializing in mental health.
Both facilities are managed by the Vitalité Health Network. In an email Thursday, Ghislaine Arsenault, vice president of communications and engagement at Vitalité, wrote that she has not been able to comment on the matter since during the holidays, our department’s operations are limited to emergencies

Murder, police say
An investigation was opened on November 16 by the RCMP and a 25-year-old man was arrested on November 29.
The incident is now being treated as a homicide.
The deceased is Ronald Ron
Savoy, fromEel River Crossing. He died on December 23 at the age of 49 in Campbellton Hospital.
As for the suspect, he is due to appear in Campbellton Provincial Court by a date to be determined, it said RCMP.
