Lost in the local elections, Kevin Klein tries his luck at the provincial level

Kevin Klein lost the mayoral race on October 26 with just 14.78% of the vote.

He now turns to the Kirkfield Park constituency vacated by former Treasury Secretary Scott Fielding. The latter retired from political life in June 2022.

A by-election is therefore scheduled for December.

It has been my great honor and privilege to represent the residents of the Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood neighborhood at City Hall for the past four years and to advocate for the residents of my neighborhood.former city councilman Kevin Klein said in a press release.

Now he adds want to bring the same passion to the community as the MP for Kirkfield Park.

The Progressive Conservative Party has not yet announced which candidate will be chosen to represent them in this race. It is also unclear whether Mr. Klein has already submitted the necessary documents for his candidacy.

For his part, Scott Fielding decided to support his candidacy for the party’s nomination.

Kevin is very involved in the community and has been very active in community groups to ensure their voices are heard when decisions are being madehe explained.

Mr. Klein specifically hinted at this during his campaign for mayor of Winnipeghe wanted to fight crime.

The future Progressive Conservative candidate will face NDP-elected corrections officer Logan Oxenham and semi-retired Green Party IT expert Dennis Bayomi.
