MONT TREMBLANT | The Canadian will complete his preseason schedule in Ottawa tonight without his first trio in the lineup.
“We won’t take any risks,” explained Martin St-Louis before his team set off for the Canadian capital.
“Ideally, I would have liked to have completed my full training, but with everything that has happened across the league during the preseason calendar…” the Canadiens head coach continued, indicating that Kirby Dach would also not be taking part in the matchup.
CH has recalled forwards Lucas Condotta and Brandon Gignac as well as defender William Trudeau from the Laval Rocket. They will join their teammates in Ottawa.
As for the Senators, Brady Tkachuk, Claude Giroux, Tim Stützle and David Perron will not be sent into action.
The second period is underway. The score for the Senators is 4 to 1.

The Canadian will recall some players from the Laval Rocket to complete his squad.
This means that the Habs will not have one last opportunity to refine their strategies (we are thinking of the massive attack, among other things) before the start of the season on Wednesday with the visit to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Xhekaj has to finish the game
Additionally, Kaiden Guhle, who has recovered from his appendectomy, will be in uniform. The same goes for Xhekaj. Remember that the defender was sent off in the last two games he took part in.
“I want him to play a complete game,” St-Louis said with a smile. “I just want him to play his game. He is a player who is always at the limit. It has to be done [jouer] intelligent.”
The Senators, for their part, have returned the vast majority of the players recalled yesterday to the American League. These were donned during Friday night’s 4-3 shootout win over the Red Wings in Detroit.
It is Samuel Montembeault who will defend Montreal’s goal. His counterpart will be Linus Ullmark.
