Invested $500,000 in pro bono professional services to support the transition to a green economy

MONTREAL, Dec 13, 2022 /CNW/ – On the occasion of COP15KPMG at Canada is pleased to announce a $500,000 investment in pro bono services in support of projects led by Indigenous organizations and businesses that will make an impact in protecting nature and biodiversity.

Over the next few months, KPMG and Indigenous organizations will work together to implement this initiative, which is scheduled to launch in Quebec in spring 2023. The professional services, spread over a two-year period, will be offered to indigenous communities, organizations and businesses within commonly defined parameters to support the transition to a nature-friendly economy.

With this pledge, KPMG is taking a concrete step to work together on the absolute need to stop and reverse biodiversity loss, and calls on all organizations to come together and do everything in their power to tackle climate change and act responsibly promote economic growth.
