The Montreal Canadiens aren’t too concerned about the medical evaluation of Kirby Dach, who has already suffered multiple injuries in his young career.
This is what TVA sports journalist Marc-André Perreault taught us in his daily segment JiCTHURSDAY.
“They tell me it’s bad luck,” Perreault explained. These are not related injuries. It would be much more concerning if we were talking about worn-out hips like Sean Monahan’s at 22 years old.
During his conversation with the Canadiens, Perreault said that Patrice Bergeron’s name was brought up as an example of a player who recovered from a catastrophic injury and had a long and successful career.
The positive point
Additionally, if there’s a single positive to be taken from Dach’s injury, it’s the relief it could provide the Canadiens on the payroll.
Adding Badger’s name to the long-term injured list gives CH more flexibility to make transactions during the season and at the deadline.
Kent Hughes’ phone is already ringing.
“I can tell you that among Canadians we have already had phone calls from other DGs saying, ‘Maybe I can help you.’”
