Jessiane Queenton at the World Youth Swimming Championships

A young Bouchervilloise will represent Canada in artistic swimming at the World Youth Championships to be held August 30-September 3 in Athens, Greece.
Jessiane Queenton was first selected for the Quebec team. This team then qualified for the World Youth Championships by taking first place at the SYNC Artistic Swimming Championships. The aim of this competition, organized by Ontario Artistic Swimming, was to select the country’s representatives in Athens.
In the solo, Jessiane was able to take fourth place, although she had to take a break two weeks before the selection for health reasons.
It should be noted that she participated in the selection of the Canada junior team when she was in a lower age group, namely 15 years old. Thirteen young people will represent Canada in Greece.
From 5 years
Jessiane Queenton trains 35 hours a week with the Montreal East Aquatic Club (CAEM). At the age of 5 she started practicing this sport.
“I really like her artistic side, it’s a great challenge to explore a subject with your arms but also with your legs,” she says. Some will say but why not dance? First because I love water and second because it is a unique sport! ยป
Jessiane is a student in the Sports Studies department at the De Mortagne Gymnasium and is hoping to do well at the World Youth Championship and be part of the senior national team in the long term.
