“Jake Allen in Laval, forget it!”

There are many calling for an end to the Montreal Canadiens' three-goalie duel, but one thing is certain: it won't end with veteran Jake Allen being sent to the American League with the Laval Rocket.

“There are several people who think that the solution would be to grant Jake Allen a waiver, but I have been told that will not happen,” Renaud Lavoie told JiC on Monday. This is not a situation that will arise as it will significantly reduce the player's value.

“This problem will be solved via transaction, but I don't know how.” One thing is for sure, Jake Allen in Laval, forget it!”

Renaud Lavoie added that general manager Kent Hughes is in no hurry on this matter as Allen is the perfect teammate, and also showed a training sequence in which we see Allen diligently accompanied by Samuel Montembeault, who gave him the No. 1 Stole position.

A reunion with Marc Bergevin?

For his part, Tony Marinaro wants Allen to end up with the Los Angeles Kings, who count on Cam Talbot and David Rittich as goaltenders.

Remember, it was Marc Bergevin, now with the Kings, who acquired Allen when he was general manager of the Habs.
