Macklin Celebrini was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the first-ever amateur auction selection last Friday and heaped praise on his former Boston University Terriers teammate.

“I’ve never played with anyone like him and I’ve played with a lot of great players,” he said on the popular podcast Spittin Chiclets.

The 18-year-old, who is known for his effective play in all three zones, revealed that even in training he found it difficult to stop Hutson and not bite on his headers.

“You don’t think you’re being fooled until you’re being fooled. You say to yourself, ‘Damn, he got me like everyone else,'” he described.

Celebrini wasn’t surprised that Hutson was successful when he arrived in the NHL. The little number 48 had two assists in two games and finished the regular season in the blue, white and red jersey.

“That’s the type of player he is. He’s a special player. I may be a little biased, but I’m convinced he’s going to be an outstanding player,” he concluded.
