Ivan Demidov is still missing from SKA St. Petersburg’s development camp

When the Canadiens signed Ivan Demidov, we knew he was concerned about an ankle injury, but it wasn’t a major factor that would lower his rating with the organization.

He even took the time to explain in an interview with TVA Sports that this injury still bothers him.

At the time of his statement on June 28, Demidov planned to be back on the ice “in a week or a little later.” Seventeen days later, SKA St. Petersburg hosted the start of its development camp and he was not present.

No stress so far, because it still fell into the category of “in a week or a little later”.

The problem is, we are now on day nine of the SKA development camp and still no sign of Demidov.

We could see that a post by Demidov’s team on Instagram.

Demidov’s agent Dan Milstein confirmed to Nicolas Cloutier of TVA Sports that he was still recovering from his injury on the first day of camp, but nothing is confirmed for day nine.

Who knows? Maybe he was in camp, but he was just hidden in this video. It would be surprising though, as SKA would like to highlight their player, who was drafted fifth overall in the last NHL auction. NO?

So it must be said that Demidov would continue to be on the sidelines due to his ankle injury. At the end of July, the situation is not at all urgent, but it is true that he is missing training days that could be beneficial for him.

The Ivan Demidov case remains exciting, but it should not be rushed. Forcing him to return with an injury could cause him major problems in the long run, so we must remain patient.

It is better to have a Demidov who arrives late and in good health than a Demidov who spends all his time meeting with the other injured in the heights of the Bell Center.

Much

– Good news!

– It is official.

– The United Center could soon have a new look.

– It’s starting well.
