The Panthers’ rough-and-tumble defenseman Radko Gudas continued his work of slaughtering against the Canadians on Thursday night, most notably by mowing down defenseman Justin Barron in the knees during a extra.
The young full-back went down hard behind the net. He got up, but obviously it wasn’t comfortable. Rookie Sean Farrell has also tasted the aggression of the Czech, who injured striker Kirby Dach last January.
As in previous clashes between the two teams, Gudas was then able to continue his match peacefully as none of the Canadians lifted a finger to leave and ‘teach him manners’.
It’s true that some of the toughest Habs players like Arber Xhekaj or Josh Anderson are currently in the infirmary. But Gudas is not a terror at the end of the fist, someone among the Canadians could have visited him anyway.
For many, that guy would no doubt have been Michael Pezzetta, a resilient winger who doesn’t usually need to be called up.
“Michael Pezzetta, it’s hard to point out (…) but at some point you have a role, if you want to change your role you can do that, but at some point there are consequences, we’ll see what will happen, “our tried Colleague Renaud Lavoie to explain to “JiC” on Friday.
One thing is certain: the problem remains.
“Radko Gudas also has to come out of the games thinking it’s fun and going well after everything he’s done against the Montreal Canadiens since the start of the season,” regretted Renaud.
“It’s about time someone fixed the problem,” he then summarized.
During his speech, there was also talk about Rafaƫl Harvey-Pinard, who is absolutely unstoppable, about Kristopher Letang, who will play his 1000th game on Sunday, and about a crazy scene that happened in Major League Baseball yesterday.
