IBM Canada plans to create up to 250 jobs in Fredericton

IBM Canada will establish a Customer Innovation Center in Fredericton and create up to 250 full-time positions.

Jobs include positions such as application designers, technical testing experts, management analysts, customer experience contributors, design consultants, and digital transformation specialists.

Opportunities NB is investing up to $4.8 million in this project. The Crown Corporation estimates that the center will contribute more than US$72 million to the province’s GDP over five years.

IBM has customers in more than 170 countries. The company has a global network of customer innovation centers including in Halifax, Montreal and Calgary.

“Canadian companies today are rapidly adopting technologies such as hybrid cloud architectures and artificial intelligence, and it is critical that these companies have the necessary skills and talent to ensure successful business transformation,” said IBM Canada President Dave McCann.

“The New Brunswick IBM Center will provide additional support for the province’s goals of developing local technology talent, creating jobs and improving workforce education. »

Recruitment begins in January.
