The Ontario Nurses Association says some of its members are still having payroll issues. This problem dates back to last year when Health Sciences North (HSN) hospital in Sudbury introduced a new payroll system.
The Ontario Nurses Association (ONA) recently had to escalate because earnings reported to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for two employees were higher than actual earnings, Sheree Bond, media manager at the Ontario Nurses Association, wrote in an email.
Two T4 forms were found to have been sent to the in errorARC and the hospital sent a notice to thatARC to undo the forgery
She explains.
Outside of the T4 issue, she adds, there are still payroll issues and confusion over reconciliation. It often takes a lot of timeON ONEand the frontline workers are very frustrated.
A spokesman for Health Sciences North confirmed via email that there had been problems with the implementation of this system.
Since launch [du nouveau système de ressources humaines], HSN fixed some issues and is currently getting fewer bi-monthly payroll questions than before switching to this system,
he let it be known.
That reassures him HSN has increased its staff to address these issues and is committed to responding to all payroll queries
