Health Canada is issuing a major recall of chocolate bunnies

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a major recall regarding Easter chocolate.

The affected chocolate is vegan chocolate bunnies which may contain milk and this is not stated on the label.

“The affected product must not be used, sold, served or distributed,” writes the CFIA on its website.

The format in question is that of 50 grams with an expiration date of January 2, 2024. The UPC code is as follows: 0 63783 84901 3

The product was sold in Quebec, but also in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario.

The CFIA is also recalling Nelson’s Chocofellar brand 60% dark chocolate with hazelnuts for the same reason.

However, this product was only sold in British Columbia.

“Do not consume recalled products that you are allergic or sensitive to, as they could cause a serious or even fatal reaction,” the CFIA warns.
