Global Affairs Canada issued the following statement today:
“The health, safety and protection of Canadian diplomatic personnel and their families remains a priority for the Government of Canada.
“Given the unpredictable security situation, Canada has decided to temporarily relocate the dependent children of Canadian employees outside of Tel Aviv. The dependent children of Canadian Embassy employees in Israel and their legal guardians have arrived in a third country, they are safe and no one is missing.
“We continue to monitor the situation closely and the safety of Canadians remains our top priority.” On August 3, 2024, we updated our travel advisory for Canadians to avoid travel to Israel and continued travel to the West Bank.
“We encourage all Canadians residing in Israel or the West Bank to regularly consult our Travel advice and warnings and register with the Registering the service for Canadians abroad.
