The G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance (G20 YEA) is an annual gathering held on the eve of the Leaders’ Summit. According to Futurpreneur Canada, the 2023 edition “brought together hundreds of the best young entrepreneurs from around the world to establish and advance youth entrepreneurship as an engine for economic growth, innovation and social change”. The organization is one of the founding members of the event and creates a global network of more than 500,000 young entrepreneurs.

Each member of the Quebec delegation agreed to answer a questionnaire provided by Offers about their experiences at the summit in India.

What does this year’s theme “Hum” (Hindi for “we”) mean to you and how do you apply it in your company?

To me, hum means unity is strength. At my company, we hold weekly group meetings and collect everyone’s ideas and opinions to improve our technology. In addition, we create cohesion through the complementarity of the skills of each individual.

What did you learn about Indian entrepreneurial know-how during your stay?

They establish themselves and help each other over several generations and are not afraid to transfer their know-how to areas that are only indirectly related. Your compassion creates a climate of harmony during negotiations.

In your opinion, what will be the key issues of your generation of entrepreneurs?

You have to take the time to listen to each other and see the possible connections, even if the business models and visions are different. This allows you to see the added value of the relationships created before calculating the profits that are all too often prioritized in business relationships.

What do you think you brought to the Futurpreneur 2023 cohort?

I believe I have helped instill in Canadians an openness to all cultures and the joy of learning and sharing technical and cultural knowledge together.

Which topic discussed during your participation in the G20 YEA 2023 caught your most attention and why?

I was greatly inspired by the vision of the ministers present regarding the challenges facing their societies and their visions for the years to come.
