Fred Pellerin’s new show in Montreal this winter

The writer, screenwriter and singer from Saint-Élie-de-Caxton, who is celebrating his 20th career anniversary this year, began his tour in Center-du-Québec last month.

The descent into business revolves around Toussaint Brodeur, merchant and fly breeder, who often found himself in Fred Pellerin’s stories without ever being the star.

The character was portrayed by Luc Picard in two film adaptations of Fred Pellerin’s fairy tales – baby and Esimesac – and more recently by Émile Proulx-Cloutier in film The time wasterreleased last year.

Create in a hurry

The passage of time is one of the main themes of the show. Time follows me all the time. I was 20 and already felt some kind of urgencyFred Pellerin explained in an interview with Radio-Canada in September.

It lives in me at the same time, it whips me, it urges me to move, it urges me to act, to thinkhe added.

The descent into business will be presented in a dozen cities across the province this fall before stopping at the Grand Théâtre de Québec on December 20-23.

In January, Fred Pellerin will transport his show to France for a series of seven performances. It will eventually be shown in Montreal at the Théâtre Maisonneuve from June 1stah until March 4th.
