The Hyundai Elantra sedan is one of the most popular cars in Quebec and the rest of Canada. Since the current generation is from the 2021 model year, changes can be expected for 2024.
What can we expect? The company today gives us part of the answer by revealing the images of the Korean model known there as Avante.
The headlights are straighter, occupying rectangular projectors, a bit like the IONIQ 5 electric crossover. The grille has also been redesigned, as have the vents on the underside of the front bumper, making for a less flashy and overall sleeker look.
The car gets new alloy wheels, while at the rear, the bumper in particular changes and features a more aggressive style, including that diffusor look.
The only photo of the car’s interior shows no major transformations or retouching, which is not surprising. However, improvements in terms of materials and colors, infotainment and safety technologies are expected.
The update will obviously affect the sport versions N Line and N, the second is expected to arrive at a later date. The engine range should remain intact and ranges from the 147 hp four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine to the 276 hp turbo variant.
It’s possible the 2024 Hyundai Elantra will make its North American debut at the New York Auto Show in April (the 2023 Palisade was shown there last year, remember). If necessary, the team car driver will be at your disposal to introduce it to you and to give you further details. It is slated to go on sale in Canada later this year.
