In Canada, unprecedented fires have already devastated more than 13 million hectares of forest. The human consequences are significant. The 20,000 residents of Yellowknife, the capital of this northern province, were ordered to evacuate.
The Canadian Fire is a perennial fire that devastates hundreds of acres every day. The capital of the Northwest Territory, Yellowknife, was evacuated in an emergency. Residents and tourists had until noon on August 18 to leave the site. Another area at risk: British Columbia further west. A state of emergency was declared as 370 fires are currently ravaging the province.

Authorities are already warning Canadians. “If you receive an evacuation order, you must leave the area immediately. Please prepare an emergency plan and things for yourself, your family and your animals.”, said Bowinn Ma, member of the British Columbia Legislative Assembly.
