Frank-Walter Steinmeier is greeted at Yellowknife Airport by Territorial Commissioner Margaret Thom and Mayor Rebecca Alty.
He will then meet with Governor General Mary Simon at Joint Task Force (North) headquarters for a tour and briefing with senior officials.
You will then drive north to the hamlet of Tuktoyaktuk where you will meet with indigenous leaders and community members.
During their stay in Tuktoyaktuk, they plan to visit the Arctic Ocean coast to learn more about the effects of climate change and see homes that have been displaced due to coastal erosion.
You can also watch a presentation on the Smart Ice Project, which combines traditional knowledge with modern ice monitoring technology, as well as dog sledding and ice fishing demonstrations.
They will conclude their stay in Tuktoyaktuk by attending a community event at Kitti Hall before returning to Yellowknife.
Mr. Steinmeier arrived in Ottawa on Sunday, where he attended several events, including a reception hosted by the German ambassador, where he spoke about the importance of liberal democracies.

He was in British Columbia on Tuesday, where he visited the fuel cell company Cellcentric and participated in a round table with German and Canadian business representatives.
Mr. Steinmeier will leave Canada for Germany on Wednesday evening.
