MONTREAL — Collective agreements have just been signed for two major groups of federal employees affected by last spring’s strike.
The agreements were therefore signed by the Treasury Board and the Public Service Alliance of Canada for groups PA (for program and administrative services) and TC (for technical services).
The agreements will be signed by the parties for the other groups of union members in the next few days, PSAC said in a statement to its members.
Approximately 155,000 PSAC members were affected by these negotiations, both in the federal civil service itself and at the Canada Revenue Agency.
Last April, a major strike broke out across the country. Fundamental agreements had been reached, which were then ratified by union members on June 16.
In general, the new employment contract provides for increases of 12.6% from 2021 to 2024.
