If you look at the core of Canada, it’s obviously the name ofAlfonso Davies, Bayern’s side, Supersonic, stood out. Aligned with Bayern on his left flank, he occupies a much more advanced place in the national team, developing almost into attacking support and regularly rotating with two (former) Pro League acquaintances. Cyle Larin (Bruges) and JOnathan David (Lille, ex-Ghent). Two players who were also top scorers in qualifying and who areā¦ the two top scorers in the country’s history (24 for Larin, 21 for David).
Unfortunately, Davies injured his thigh at the end of October and has not played since. He was also absent from last Thursday’s friendly against Japan and is more than uncertain for this game against the Devils. A huge chip for Canada, but a blessing for our defenders who don’t have to stuff themselves with the fastest player in Bundesliga history (36.51 km/h in 2020!).
Among the other interesting players to keep an eye on, we will point out another Brugeois, the Twirling Tagon Buchanan as well as Stephen Eustaquioan excellent central midfielder who plays for Porto.
Finally, notice that John Herdman, the coach, is not fixed in his compositions. He doesn’t hesitate to change his style of play regularly, even if his preferred formation remains 4-4-2.
