France, already certain to appear in the final of Eurovision 2023 this Saturday, was still present this Tuesday evening in Liverpool during the first semi-final of the competition. The spectators have already been able to discover the entirety of the impressive performance that the singer La Zarra will deliver in defense of the tricolor.

The audience obviously liked it a lot. La Zarra took to the stage in Liverpool on Tuesday night to present her track Obviously, with which she will represent France in the Eurovision 2023 final this Saturday.

The piece begins with the singer several meters above the ground on a narrow platform on which her long black dress, created by Romain Thevenin with small stones and rhinestones (6000 in all!) sparkles with a thousand lights lies. The platform lowers then gently rises as lights and sparks illuminate the back of the stage.

Fortunately, the Canadian singer, third in the bookmakers’ ranking, aroused the enthusiasm of the spectators present in the hall.

Recall that on this evening, when the participants of the first semi-finals competed against each other, France was not afraid of a possible elimination, since it is part of the Big Five, these five countries (with Germany , Italy, the United Kingdom and Spain ) who make the largest financial contributions to the EBU and as such automatically qualify for the final each year.

Finland, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Finland – both favorites – but also Moldova, Israel, Switzerland, Croatia, Portugal, Serbia and Norway got Sesame for the big show on SATURDAY. The second semi-final, taking place on May 11, will determine the other countries that will compete for first place at Eurovision 2023.
