The Canadiens held a short morning practice session in Winnipeg today in preparation for tonight’s game against the Jets.
On this occasion veteran Joel Edmundson, whose trainer Martin St-Louis said yesterday that he was very likely to return to the game tonight ran alongside young Arber Xhekaj.
The 29-year-old, who was hit in the lower body, has not played a game this season but has been in training for several days.
His presence alongside Xhekaj, combined with the fact that Chris Wideman was completing rotations in practice, suggests the Manitoban will be back in action tonight as number six is likely to skip his move.
St-Louis has already confirmed goalkeeper Samuel Montembeault will protect the Montreal cage tonight.
