Organized by Immigrant Quebec, the Quebec Immigration and Integration Fair will take place on May 31 and June 1, 2023 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. It’s completely free and the largest event of its kind in Canada. It brings together any immigrant or person who has an immigration project with immigration stakeholders, business and civil society representatives.
For this 12th edition more than 270 Exhibitor from the 17 regions of Quebec who make an appointment with more than 10,000 workers, entrepreneurs and foreign students to accompany them in their installation and integration project in Quebec.
A program of more than 40 conferences and workshops led by renowned speakers
During these two days 32 workshops is offered to visitors and deals with various topics related to job search, study, entrepreneurship, finance and immigration. Here are some of the workshops you can find at the fair:
- Stand out at your next job interview – moderated by CARI St-Laurent;
- The compilation of a master resume and the cluster of targeted resumes — managed by La Maisonnée;
- Doing business in Quebec: available resources – organized by Entreprendre ici;
- French at work: tools to be confident – moderated by Cégep du Vieux Montréal;
- Presentation of Quebec’s health and human services system and journey of candidates who have graduated outside of Canada to work there — supported by Recruitment Santé Québec;
- Spousal sponsorship and family reunification applications in Canada – moderated by the Cabinet Santamaria Avocat.
Espace Conférences Desjardins also hosts conferences from key partners recognized for their expertise, such as the Department of Immigration, Franciscanization and Integration, Québec International, Desjardins, CITIM, Qualifications Québec, Drummondville Economic Development Corporation, Emplois en Régions, the Montreal Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, Service Canada and CBC/Radio-Canada.
Free activities for visitors
Several free personalized activities will be made available to visitors, be it to get information, get job search tools or even have an interview with one of the companies represented at the fair.Express Recruitment Area.
THE Photo booth allows visitors to leave a portrait of a photographer for their professional social networks. A Space continue will also be offered to adapt their CV to the specifics of Quebec. Finally in theLinkedIn sectionparticipants can benefit from individual advice from experts in order to improve their professional profile.
