Danielle Smith wants nothing to do with the World Economic Forum

Last Friday, Danielle Smith announced that she was terminating an agreement between Alberta Health Services (AHS) and the Forum. In July 2020, AHS had joined the Partnership for Health Systems Sustainability and Resilience (PHSSR).

The aim of the partnership is to improve the resilience of healthcare systems in times of crisis.

On Monday, the prime minister dodged questions about her possible beliefs Conspiracy theories surrounding the World Economic Forum.

However, she did not mince her words WEF. I find it appalling that a bunch of billionaires brag about the control they have over political leaders like the leader of the WEF. I find that insulting.

I believe the people who should run the government are the people who vote for it […] Until this organization stops bragging about its control over political leaders, I have no interest in getting involved with it.

The company is sworn in

Danielle Smith’s cabinet was sworn in Monday at the Lieutenant Governor’s Mansion in Edmonton. The twenty-seven members have all sworn allegiance to serve the interests of the province.

The Premier told her newly sworn ministers that their work would be halted in the coming months due to the inflation Albertans are facing and pressure on the healthcare system.

During a ceremony that lasted almost an hour, members of the government first listened to the interpretation of the country’s national anthem before proceeding to the usual prayers.

It was formed by the leader of the United Conservative Party Council of Ministers last weekwhile retaining the services of certain party tenors.

With the exception of Leela Aheer, all of her opponents in the PCU lead race received portfolios, including Brian Jean and Travis Toews.
