Choking hazard: 84,000 cribs and changing tables recalled

Health Canada has issued a recall alert for various Harmony Play & Go Playard brand cribs and changing tables due to choking hazards.

The company reported that approximately 84,000 units of the affected product were sold in Canada between March 2020 and July 2022.

Do not use the bassinet without the structural rungs, stop following the changing table instructions and contact Harmony for instructions on how to adapt this accessory for continued use.

According to Health Canada, if the crib’s structural support bars are not in place or fully assembled, there can be an uneven bedding surface and a risk of injury or even death from suffocation.

Consumers are advised not to use this bassinet if the structural support bars are not properly attached. You can also contact Harmony for a free kit that will eliminate the possibility of removing the support bars.

Health Canada has also asked Canadians to report any health or safety incidents after using this product.
