For two years, Chantal Machabée did a remarkable job as vice president of communications for the Montreal Canadiens.
She was able to bring a breath of fresh air into communication and is valued by everyone in Switzerland.
His work allows him to see the players up close and thus build good relationships with them.
Because she is so close to the team, she witnesses scenes that few members of the organization get to see, and she has some good stories to tell.
When she was recently a guest on the La Poche Bleue podcast, she told a very funny story about a player she didn’t want to name.
(…) When we win they are happy, they sign pucks between the dressing room and the door that they have to leave and at a certain point there is one, I won’t name him, but Guillaume, my assistant, says to him “Don’t forget, you do the interview, greet, throw the pucks, do the interview with Marc Denis and end as usual with a nice thank you.
Then the player says, “Ah, but I know what I’m going to say…can I say THANK YOU, TABARNAK?”
