Chad Michael Murray is set to return to the CW in a new series alongside former Gilmore Girls castmate Scott Patterson.
Alongside CTV and Fremantle, The CW is producing a new series based on the best-selling books by Robyn Carr, Sullivan’s Crossing. And as Deadline and Télé Loisirs report, the network is recruiting from its former stars: Chad Michael Murray, the legendary Lucas Scott of the Scott Brothers (One Tree Hill) and Scott Patterson, the unforgettable Luke Danes of Gilmore Girls, will meet to to give the answer to Morgan Kohan (Batwoman), heroine of the show.

Just like the books, Roma Roth’s new series tells the story of a brilliant neurosurgeon (Morgan Kohan) who is accused of negligence when her business partner is accused of fraud. Leaving Boston to return to Sullivan’s Crossing, her remote hometown, she must put her life in order and reconnect with her father, Sully (Scott Patterson). She will also meet a newcomer, one Cal Jones, played by Chad Michael Murray.

The drama, which was produced in part by the team behind the Netflix series Virgin River, marks Chad Michael Murray’s return to the CW after The Scott Brothers and more recently Riverdale. Chad Michael Murray left Les Frères Scott at the end of season six before returning for an episode in the ninth and final season of the iconic series. The first 10-episode season, which will notably air on CTV in Canada, is slated for this fall.
