The Montreal Canadiens recalled forward Joshua Roy from his American League farm club on Friday evening.
This first career recall for the Quebec native comes moments after a Laval Rocket win over the Manitoba Moose. He will join Sainte-Flanelle on Saturday morning, a few hours before the Edmonton Oilers visit the Bell Centre.

Roy is currently playing his first full professional season. In 34 games for the Habs' farm club, he found the net twelve times and provided 18 assists for 30 points.
The Canadian selected the Saint-Georges-de-Beauce native in the fifth round (150th overall) of the 2021 draft. He burned down the track in his final round in the 2022-2023 LHMJQ. Wearing the Sherbrooke Phoenix jersey, Roy scored 46 goals and 53 assists for 99 points. He also scored 11 points in seven games and won the gold medal with Canada at the 2023 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
The Bleu-Blanc-Rouge will look to return to victory against the Oilers, who have lost their flag in their last two games.
