Former Laval Rocket head coach Joël Bouchard believes the organization is currently trying to create its own colour.
“The Habs don’t have an identity and that’s fine. It’s not negative, you have to be realistic. It is a rebuilding organization that has several new players. The order will be to create one at some point, ”explained the ice hockey man first.
“Right now I can’t say what style of play will help the Canadians succeed,” Bouchard said.
The evaluation is continued
At the start of CH’s seventh and final preparatory duel against the Ottawa Senators, there still seem to be a few positions on Martin St-Louis’ chess board.
Juraj Slafkovsky, the youngest National Hockey League (NHL) overall champion, has one last chance to show the Montreal staff his strengths before training camp ends.
“I want to see an angry Juraj Slafkovsky. I want him to understand that this is his last chance. He has to play like his place is up for grabs and not safe,” explained Maxim Lapierre.
“I want him to play a playoff game,” added the former Bettman Circuit agitator.
