While waiting for news on forward Patrik Laine’s health, there were still some good things to come from the Montreal Canadiens’ practice Monday morning.

Defender Kaiden Guhle had been absent since September 19 after an appendectomy and was back training with his teammates. However, he was wearing a sweater, which suggests he cannot receive contacts.
Guhle also took to the ice with his teammates during morning training last Saturday after skating alone for a few days.
Note that forward Oliver Kapanen was also back after being absent last Friday due to treatment.
In addition to Laine, another attacker was noticed by his absence from training. Josh Anderson wasn’t on the ice at the CN Complex in Brossard, but in his case it didn’t appear to be too serious. The team later said he was unable to show up for treatment.
Apparently, defenseman David Reinbacher was also out of the game due to the knee injury he suffered Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
