Juraj Slafkovsky won the ceremony honoring the best players of Slovak origin.

The Montreal Canadiens striker notably won the MVP title for the 2023-2024 season, an honor he received in 2022.
He received this award from the President of the Slovak Hockey Association and former Buffalo Sabres player Miroslav Satan.
At the beginning of the ceremony, “Slaf” was named the best forward of the year for the second year in a row. It was none other than former National Hockey League (NHL) star Marian Hossa who presented him with his award. The latter has also received this award eight times during his career.
To top it all off, Slafkovsky also won the title of best player under 20 for his performances last year. He will also be able to get his hands on this award in 2022.
Selected first overall by the CH in the 2022 NHL Draft, Slafkovsky exploded in the second half of the season during his second season on the Bettman circuit, ultimately finishing the year with 20 goals, 30 assists and 50 points production.
The 1.90 m tall and 100 kg skater also defended Slovakia’s colors at the Ice Hockey World Championship and collected eight assists in as many games.
