The SkyHawks, the Canadian Forces parachuting team, will hold a series of demonstrations in Havre-Saint-Pierre as part of the 25the family party. The activity completes the rich program of the festival in the heart of Minganie from July 20th to 23rd, 2023.
The SkyHawks are Canada’s only military parachute demonstration team. It will only make four stops in Quebec in the coming weeks, namely in the major cities of Montreal, Quebec, Gatineau… and in the village of Havre-Saint-Pierre, specifies Lieutenant Rebecca Garand, Public Affairs Commissioner.
The team arrives in Minganie on Thursday evening. A day of learning and practice is planned for Friday before the two-day demonstrations take place near the family festival site and at the Havre-Saint-Pierre football ground.

The team includes 13 demonstrator paratroopers from the Canadian Army, Royal Canadian Navy and Royal Canadian Air Force. A total of 17 members of the regular and reserve forces from various professional backgrounds will travel to Le Havre.
Team skydiving, “contact gliders” within the skydiving community, requires a high level of skill, teamwork and physical fitness. The SkyHawks will jump out of a plane at 6,000 feet and wave flags and smoke.
Remember that the Cayens welcome Paul Daraiche and his guests, the Gars du Nord, Sympatik Réunion, Breen Leboeuf (Offenbach) and Jeff Smallwood on the evenings of the popular event from July 20th to 23rd.
This year, inflatable games and youth activities will be strengthenede Editing. The race of small boats made locally on the same day will return. This once very popular activity has not been held for 10 years.
