Singer-songwriter Michel Pagliaro, also known as Pag, will be inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame on Thursday evening in Toronto.
The Canadian rocker, who shaped the 1970s and 1980s in both official languages, is included alongside twelve other rock groups or singers who were developing in the music scene at the same time.
Glass Tiger, Loverboy, April Wine, Chilliwack and Max Webster are included, as are Platinum Blonde, the Parachute Club, Rough Trade, Prism, Trooper, Lighthouse and singer Lee Aaron.
Canadian artists will be honored this Thursday at a “mega induction ceremony,” the first of two induction ceremonies planned for 2023 to mark the 25th anniversarye anniversary of the organization and everyone should appear on stage.
The annual induction ceremony airs in December.
Canada’s Walk of Fame is a non-profit organization that honors Canadians who have distinguished themselves in the fields of arts and entertainment, science and technology, business, philanthropy and athletics.
Note that Michel Rivard, Marjo and Jean Millaire will be inducted into the pantheon of Canadian authors and composers on October 11th at the Espace St-Denis in Montreal.
