The government of Quebec has a scholarship program for foreign students called ” Quebec Perspective “. This program aims to help students financially in a needy profession workforce and prioritized by the government.
The universities affected by this program are:
- University of Quebec at Outaouais (UQO), which offers 36 places in education, information technology, health and social services
- University of Quebec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue with 46 places in the fields of creation and new media, human development, engineering school, education and social work
- Laval University with 24 places in education, engineering, information technology, and health and social sciences
- The Université du Québec à Rimouski offers 46 places for international students in the following areas: pre-primary and elementary education, education in academic and social adjustment, secondary education, civil engineering, electromechanical systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and computer science.
To be eligible to participate, you must meet the following conditions:
- be an international student enrolled in an appropriate educational institution;
- be enrolled or enrolled full-time in a French-language program of study established by the educational institution and pertain to one of the priority areas identified by the Quebec government;

This new scholarship program for international students aims to exempt them from additional tuition fees starting in the Fall 2023 semester, allowing them to pay the same tuition fees as Quebec students.
