Following the launch of domestic flights in Canada, Canada Jetlines has announced the launch date and route for its first-ever international route: Toronto-Las Vegas.
The airline expects the new route to be offered from January 19, 2023.
The new Canadian carrier plans to offer non-stop international service from its YYZ hub to Las Vegas, Nevada via Harry Reid International Airport (LAS).
Canada Jetlines says it will offer the new route several times a week. Tickets can now be reserved on the company’s website.
The operation of these flights is subject to final approval by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
As reported by Open Jaw on November 2, the United States Department of Transportation has given Canada Jetlines the green light for service in the United States.
The airline expects to receive FAA approval before the end of the year, marking “the final hurdle” before international flights between the two countries officially begin.
Canada Jetlines will operate the new YYZ-LAS route with its growing fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft, which includes the recently announced second aircraft. The new device is expected to be delivered in December.
“We are extremely pleased to introduce Canada Jetlines’ international services with a route to the entertainment capital of the world,” said Eddy Doyle, CEO of Canada Jetlines.
“As we continue to expand our international network with our first route to the United States, we look forward to beginning our services in such a desirable tourist and business destination as Las Vegas. »
The YYZ-LAS route will be Canada Jetlines’ third non-stop service since its launch in September.
The airline introduced the YYZ-YYC route, operating from Toronto (YYZ) to Calgary (YYC) on Thursdays and Sundays. The company will also launch a route from Toronto to Vancouver in December 2022. The new route will be served by an Airbus A320.
