Just over 17,000 Belgians are currently registered on the Belgian consular registers in Canada. According to Foreign Affairs, two-thirds live in Quebec. A number that may seem anecdotal. But it’s common to double that number – many expats don’t necessarily register with the consulate. We would therefore rather be around 35,000 of our fellow citizens living in Canada.

And more and more of them leave their suitcases there. A trend that seems unstoppable. In fact, about fifty Quebec-based companies launched a call for applications a few days ago. 700 positions are to be filled. An initiative led in collaboration by Actiris and Forem with the Quebec Ministry of Immigration, Franciscanization and Integration. But which sectors are affected?

Many possibilities

It’s a relatively general call that Quebec companies have just launched. The 700 positions to be filled there relate to a wide variety of areas such as administration, gastronomy, civil engineering and health. But that’s not all. All affected areas as well as job offers can be accessed via the Forum or Actiris websites and on the Journées Québec Europe website.
